Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Feb 18

I should mention that I'm using Kubuntu, 12.04.

Installed using the two links on the iheartubutu website on an HP 7800 with
an Intel dual core 2.33 GHz CPU and 6 GB of RAM. It ran fine, video and
sound, the first time with just a trace of jerkyness, which seemed to
become less noticeable after a few minutes, probably due to a need to
buffer at first.

In Kubuntu it appears on the K menu under multimedia.

Biggest problem is there is no easy way to close it. I do it by returning
to the browse window, pressing F11 to exit full screen, opening a terminal
window and issuing xkill.

So keep at it, it will work, although it is slightly smoother with
(shudder) Windows. With my old hardware anyway.
