Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Dec 18

I have an older Celeron 1ghz machine with
only PCI slots. I have PCLinuxOS on it, but
for some reason, maybe because it's a PCI video
card, it just doesn't automatically load the
way my AGP-machines do. When I installed on
that machine, I had to manually add the driver
per instructions from the Nvidia site, about
exiting out of X, etc.

Works great now, updating the driver through
Synaptic, etc. It does the desktop cube.
But live-cd's won't work on that machine,
except in xvesa or lower graphics mode.
