You could also try Konqueror from the repositories, it is the browser
that comes
with Kubuntu, works somewhat like FF.
How about a complete removal of FF and a reinstall, or a complete
install of your
OS, I have 10.04 and the latest ISO is a . 03 I think which saves on
update downloads.
