Did you install oss4 from the repositories? I think there is (maybe was) a bug
in that package, though i dont recall it removing drivers. If it is just the
driver, there should be no problem reinstalling the driver, i would think. You
shouldnt need to start over. Its also possile to have pulse and oss4 on the
machine and just have pulse turned off.
