In terminal, type 'ifconfig -a' and look for wlan0

I tried 'ifconfig-a' in terminal and got COMMAND NOT
FOUND....?

There is a space between the g and -a. should be

ifconfig -a

See the space in the command. In Unix/Linux commands like
DOS options are separated from command by a space.
