As you may remember I have 10.04 loaded on my laptop, dual booting. I have
verified nearly everything working but the ability to play CD's or
listen to
audio files. I have Rhythmbox as the default, but I am having trouble
getting
it to work. I think it is operator error. I have done lshw and can see
the type
of hardware in use so I assume the correct driver is found and installed.
One thing, when I go to one of my saved to disk audio files and click on it
I get a message of error, and that something needs to be loaded, and
suggests
something called gkstreamer, at least if I remember right that is the
name, so
I did download and install, still doesn't work. So maybe there is
something else
I need to do.
