Can't REDUCE the monitor resolution

Date: Nov 30    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 469

Has anyone been having this problem: I can't reduce my screen resolution. It
defaults to 1280x1024 and when I set it to 1024x768, then next time I boot up,
it switches back to the default. This seems to be a new problem with 10.04 since
I didn't have it before. And it happens on more than one computer.

I changed my Computer resolution through System - Preference - Monitors to
1024x768 to get a slightly larger text and icons - when I boot up this morning
it stayed the same. Make sure you state that you do indeed want the changes to
be applied it gives you a choice a few seconds after it is done to change it
back to the defaults.
