Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Dec 05

I think the proper printer is installed. When I go to System -->
Administration --> Printing, "psc-1200-series" is what it's telling me. The
printer is a HP psc-1210xi.
-There is "hpijs" in the properties description of the printer.
-I did a new install and I got the same results. It found the same printer as
it did on the first install. When I did a test page, it came up blank, even
though it went through the actions of printing a page.
-This was an upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10.

A couple of things I'd like to report that I've done since the last time I
posted. I've tried to use the live CD 8.10 and I was only able to barely print
the first time I printed. It was barely visible. Now when I try to print a
line of text, nothing shows up, and I get a message of "Printer
'psc-1200-series' is low on ink." The thing is that I do a scan and it prints
out just fine. Plus this is a new refilled cartridge. I never had a chance to
print *one page* with it. The store at the time did a test of the cartridge and
said it was working fine. They did a print strip with it too at the time of
filling it.

When I use the printer with my desktop, I don't get any message of "Printer
'psc-1200-series' is low on ink."
