printer not working with Ubuntu?

  Date: Jan 04    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 517

Ubuntu will not print to my attached laser printer. The printer emits a few
grunts and chirps but does no printing. The printer itself checks out
working fine with another windows computer.

My guess is that something hiccuped during the original Ubuntu install or a
corrupted driver. How can I force a complete reinstall of the printer?

Well can you gave the details on your printer. Like make and model?

The printer is Samsung ML-1210. It has worked before on other linux
packages--Redhat, etc. Not to mention, Vista, XP, etc.

System -->Printing --> Add Printer> Samsung ML-1210
Make sure that the printer is on before going to add printer.
