I was all over Ubuntu forums trying to fix a grub error 17. I gave up.Now I am trying to reinstall. I have edgy eft, feisty fawn and gutsy; noneare installing.In edgy eft rescue mode I get this message over and over:Failed to create a swap space. The creation of swap space in partition #5 ofIDE1 master (hda) failed.help?
Did you delete all of the partitions when starting the install?Is there a bad spot on your hd?Maybe your memory is bad, this will cause funny problems if it is the bottomsection where the interupts are stored.
