Trouble with my printer

Date: Dec 19    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 235

I have a Canon iP1880. I followed the instructions from here:

free.xiaoyenzi.com/.../installing-canon-pixma-ip1880-in-ubuntu-linux\
/, but when I try to print a test page nothing happens. I've tried printing a
test page in Open Office and nothing happens. Any ideas?

Sounds like you need to install the correct printer driver, did your
printer work before you installed this one? Also check to see that the
iP1880 is set as the default printer.

according to the instructions, that is the correct printer
driver. Unless I'm misunderstanding the instructions. Yes it's set to
default.
