Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Dec 06

You can use a utility like Gnome Format that is in the repositories. Not
sure if it comes standard with Ubuntu as I use Kubuntu mostly. You can also
use gparted, the partition manager, or do it from the commandline. It is a
good idea to unmount it first whatever you use.
