yes I did both procedures the code one and then clean the code out and used
the PPA. The PPA would not even open and the code one just load the silver lite
into Netflix but would not go passed the spinning dot circles to the video.

I think Leslie is right I have not changed the video card from my 2005 Dell
Dimension 4700c Desktop PC only the memory ram upgrade to 2 gb. So the old
video card is probably the problem.

I'm happy for the Linux users that are able to use it but I'm not one of them.
Unfortunately, after some thought I still have a few programs that only run on
Windows so I'll have to keep paying into Windows anyway.
