Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Dec 04

try the options available during boot, ie no acpi, etc this may be enough
to get you thro' the hoop!

Have you thought of contacting 'Launchpad' who may be able to fix your problem
in a stroke and also improve for everyone else.

I have 9.10 loaded and working fine on 3 different machines one is 100% and the
other two have small niggles. For example I don't know why my netbook always
starts up with audio muted. But I'm not crying over that, I expect the next
installation will have it sorted. The other problem is being considered by
Launchpad.

To be fair it must be the LTS 8.04 that is the stable/solid version so roll on
10.04!
