Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Dec 05

There is KBASIC, I tried to use it on Ubuntu but it did not work. I will try
it on Mepis this night.
For a little time I used Realbasic from here.

The personal edition for Linux is free.

It is somewhat more difficult to use than Visual BASIC but it makes executables
that can be run under almost any Linux distro, including Puppy Linux; I tried
them and worked under all of them except for Slax and Damn Small.
