Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Dec 13

There are a couple of ways to disable services.

Go to System - > Administration -> Services. You can disable services
you don't need like Apache, Mail etc.

In the folder /etc/rc5.d are all the links to services that run on
startup. Since they are links you can delete them. I would copy them
to a folder in your home folder just in case you want to move them
back.
