Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Jan 23

the article seems to have some bloopers. It's pretty easy, but the
service is called "smb" not samba. If you want to run a samba server,
you need to have smbd and smbd start at boot. Optionally winbindd,
depending on what you want to do.

I always suggest that people install webmin and manage the samba shares
using the web interface.
