This article will explain you slice() method in Array. slice() Method extracts part of array and returns a new array. Slice() Method is similar to substring function of C# string.

Syntax for Array slice() Method in Javascript

slice() Method extracts part of array and returns a new array.

//Declare of Array        var objArray = new Array(6);

objArray[0] = "Dreams";
objArray[1] = "On";
objArray[2] = "Fire";
objArray[3] = "Higher";
objArray[4] = "And";
objArray[5] = "Higher";

//SLICE Methodvar MyFavSong = objArray.slice(1, 3);
alert(MyFavSong);
//Output
On, Fire

MyFavSong = objArray.slice(2, 4);
alert(MyFavSong);
//Output
Fire, Higher

//If end is omitted returns all element from beginning till end.
MyFavSong = objArray.slice(3);
alert(MyFavSong);
//Output
Higher and Higher
