Thanks for the update and yes it's a shame Intel only seems to
consider 32bit Windows OS's on this board. Suppose you could try a
different video card but no guarantee unless you can find someone else
who got it working successfully with 'X' brand of card.

Maybe worth trying getting Ubuntu loaded using the on-board then fully
updating before plugging the PCI card back in - might just be enough
to jump past the screwed install step and get the card working.
