I take it you are using ubuntu, therefore gnome.

Right click on desktop choose create launcher Give it a name eg Simplelabeler.
For the command browse to the program under file system then navigate to the
path given above. Say ok to it and it should work. Simple labeler works but is
a little limited. A better program is 4l, instructions for installing found
here,

Don't follow the whole thing just the instruction for getting the 4l program.
You shouldn't need all the visudo stuff either, I didn't it just worked
without all that extra tweaking.
