Image map in KompoZer (or another app)

Can I do image maps in KompoZer?

If not do you have any suggestions what I can use, if you have done this before?

I need to quickly produce a number of HTML images maps (the <map> & <area> tags
to define regions of an image that link to different URLs).

I was editing by hand in a text editor, working our all the coordinates and
typing them in. Of course what I really want to do is to load each image into a
WISIWIG editor and to drag boxes on to the image, which then opens a dialogue
box for me to type the appropriate link info.

I abandoned my work machine and turned to trusted Ubuntu, and naturally
installed & opened KompoZer. Nice editor:-) However I can't find any button or
menu to do image maps. I cant find it in the help.

I believe this is possible in Gimp. But you need to install the ImageMap
plugin... It should allow you to create the imagemap w/ links, then export
it as an HTML file.

I just gave it a try and it does exactly what I want, just
like I imagined it should.
