Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Dec 11

ou will have to go in to software sources and change your settings
go to system then click administration the click software sources after that
you'll see a box come up it will say ubuntu software make sure all the boxes are
checked then go to the update tab click it and it will come up with a different
box make sure all the boxes have a check in them if not do so and them look down
at the very bottom if it says long term releases only click on it and change it
to normal releases and close the machine will reload the software channels and
the update box will come up telling you the a upgrade is available click it the
machine will ask you what you want to do and will give you options to remove
certain software or not just click yes and do what it tells you depending how
fast your machine is it might take awhile to upgrade when it done it will ask to
reboot after that you'll be good to go.
