Latest update. The problem turned out to be caused by the PCI video card I
installed because the D2700MUD MB video drivers are not yet written for Linux
and I can only get 4:3 display with the on-board video. I removed the video card
and now it works fine with 4 GB RAM, but I have no 16:9 display.

So, heads up. Intel screwed the pooch with the new chipset. No Linux drivers and
no 64 bit Windows drivers. It's a shame.
