Remove Old Operating Systems from menu.lst

Where are the old kernals listed in synaptic? I found some references
to Linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic and
Linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-19-generic under Base System. Are these the
ones that I should remove?
