Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Jan 04

It wouldn't hurt to install pkg-config as well.

That, and g++. I still get the following:

scripts/kconfig/qconf arch/i386/Kconfig
X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 169
Major opcode: 147
Minor opcode: 3
Resource id: 0x0
Failed to open device
X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 169
Major opcode: 147
Minor opcode: 3
Resource id: 0x0
Failed to open device

But it doesn't prevent xconfig from opening.
