Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Dec 07

He forwarded some information that seemed as if it was going to be helpful. When
the Dash, with WM6, is tethered with USB, it is recognized (as eth1; the driver
is mdis_host, the MAC address is 80:00:60:0F:E8:00, and it has an IP). When
surfing is attempted, it loads one or two Web pages before it slows down and is
unable to fetch any more.

Or try wvdial? I attempted to construct wvdial.conf from information given at
another site:

[Dialer Defaults]
Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0
Baud = 115200
Init1 = ATZ
Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0 Carrier Check = no Stupid Mode = no
Phone = *99#
Username =
Password =
New PPPD = yes ISDN = 0 Modem Type = Analog Modem

There's no /dev/ttyUSB0, however. And it's not recognized.

I don't seem to have Bluetooth dongles lying around, but I ordered one. That's
another approach that is sometimes used.
