Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Dec 28

That's not it in my case, as I have not yet loaded folding@home (I
usually do, I've been running it for years with no problems).

This is interesting. There is no /etc/inittab ... I have one on the
machine that is still running 6.06, and have had it on every other
flavor of Linux, HP/UX and I think Solaris I've ever run. There are 6
getty's running though, just like there should be, there is an init
process running, and it is the parent of the getty's. I'm going to
have to look at the changes from 6.06 to 7.10 closely.

Thanks, and glad to hear it's working for you. I'm sure I'll find a
solution eventually.
