Creative Labs SB Audigy LS is your device. Please install ALSA Mixer GUI and
play with the settings. If that does not work try this.

Yeah mine works fine, unfortunately I don't have access to the extra
bells and whistles I paid for such as eax console, eq, sound editing,
media player, and so forth. I still use windows xp pro for all my media
needs such as lightscibe, lacie is a pos application compared to the
windows counterpart. However I do love Ubuntu so I will stick it out in
the hopes that someone writes a better program.

My Dell usually doesn't recognize the sound card. Once a month, the sound card
decides to work, one time. Next time I boot, no sound.

What is your dell model? What version of Ubie are you using? It could be a big
or not.
