Shared By: TradeTheTrend      Date: Jul 12      Category: Azure
Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) announced agreements with Dell (NASDAQ:DELL), Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) and eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY) related to its Windows Azure cloud-computing operating system. The company did not disclose any financial details for the partnerships. Microsoft has been working on promoting the Azure operating system, which was announced in 2008, as cloud computing increases in popularity. The contract with Hewlett-Packard extends the $250 million infrastructure-to-application initiatives that the company announced in January. eBay will be one of the first customers of Azure and according to the agreement, the company will use the Azure platform in two of its data centers. Microsoft shares are currently trading 1.58% higher at $24.65.
