Quality Audio ripper

I'm looking for a great program to rip CD's to some audio formate such
as mp3 or so. I looked at sound juicer and have not been impressed.
I would like something that gives me an array of options when it comes
to quality settings. I have some audio books that can be compressed
because quality is not important, but I also want the option of the
high end for music. Also something that will find the tags for the cd
and updated the artist, track name, artwork, etc. I'm I asking to
much? Or do I have to stick with WMP11 from windozs.

I'm using "grip" and I think its great. Just install it the usual way
with "apt-get". You need to install "lame" as well and configure
"grip" to use "lame" as mp3 encoder.

I second that for grip. Here is what you need to do to get grip up and running.
I had a scratch up CD that would not play normal, but when I ripped it. It was
like xmas.

I tried the Grip and it worked out after I was able to configure it,
but I came about RipperX and have found it to be a great program. I
just thought I would pass along my findings.
