Printing through wirless router

Date: Dec 09    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 257

I have been thinking of getting a home laser printer. If I have a
wireless router and the printer has ethernet cable connection, can I
connect the printer to the wireless router and print from? Or do I need
a wireless printer? I seems logical that I could but if it is that easy
then why get a wireless printer?

I have a HP LaserJet 4050 that I have a jetdirect card in. Its plugged
into my router via ethernet. I assigned a static ip to it so anyone in
the house can print to it, wireless or not.

I have a Brother laser printer connected by ethernet cable to my router.
Everyone in the house uses the printer. Like Wade, I have set the printer to
use a static IP address.

And I don't have to worry about *%&! ink cartridges drying out.
