Num Lock

Date: Jan 11    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 397

My computer bios is set to have Num Lock turned on by default. When
Ubuntu starts and goes to the user login screen (GDM) Num Lock is turned
off. However, right now I have the computer (at home) set up to log in
automatically. After being auto-logged into Gnome Num Lock is already
turned on. So the Ubuntu start-up process turns Num Lock off and then
Gnome turns it back on. How do I get Ubuntu to automatically turn Num
Lock on?

I've noticed the same issue in Kubuntu 10.10.
