Does anyone one please tell me how do I run JavaScript on Linux.

Javascript runs within a web browser. If you mean MS jscript
that runs using MS scripting host - it cant be run  in
linux. There a project on sourceforge called janet which is
a jscript.net interpreter written in C# that (i think) can
be run using mono in linux  ( http://www.go-mono.org).
