Question with MS Excel.

Have put my music CD collection in a spreadsheet, and want to total the
playing times.

Columns look like this:

Track | Playing Time
-----------------------
Track 1 | 4:03
track 2 | 2:25
track 3 | 3:18

Total | ?

I want to show the total length as 9:46 Is this possible? What formula
is required?

Format the column that contains the times as a "time"
To do this right-click on the column and select format cells..
Then under the Number Tab Select time from the Category List box

Now all you have to do is sum the column in the cell you want the total
i.e.: =SUM(C2:C10) would be placed in C11 if your times were entered in
the C column
