Error Message when try to update gutsy

when i check for updates in gutsy , i receive the folowing error
message after the checking :

W: GPG error: http://archive.ubuntu.com gutsy-updates Release: The
following signatures were invalid: BADSIG 40976EAF437D05B5 Ubuntu
Archive Automatic Signing Key <ftpmaster@...>

what is this and what should i do ?
