Drop Down Menu

Asked By: Gene    Date: Dec 15    Category: MS Office    Views: 753

I have two quick questions on Drop Down Menus (not Validation).

1) Is there a trick or a function that can make fonts bigger in a Drop Down menu
without increasing the size of the spreadsheet?
2) Can I use "Find" in the Drop Down Menu, or it there another way of selecting
a list of items faster instead of scrolling through the menu?

regarding item 2; there is a way to, as you type in a few characters, to have
selections become available based on the 'partial match or matches' that meet
the characters that have been typed so far. I had a project 2 years ago that
used this type of logic.

If you use a combobox you can get it to do this. You set its MatchEntry
property to 1-fmMatchEntryComplete

I only know how to use combo box from the Forms toolbar.
Can you show me how to build combo boxes using Control Toolbox instead of Forms?

You just click the combobox on the toolbar and then click in you ws whereyou
want it. Then you right click and click Properties. Set the properties
accordingly.

When you click the design mode button in the toolbar to take it out of design
mode the combobox is activated. Put the reference to a range for the list  in
ListFillRange.

If you have any specific issues get back to the list.
