I need drivers for Compaq Presario V6000 CTO Notebook PC for ubuntu.

Im unable to find the wireless driver for it along with a few others. If
anyone could lead me to a complete driver set for this model, it would be
very helpful.

Here's a blog entry from someone who also has a V6000 who gave up trying to
get the internal wireless card; installing a external adapter. However,
Ndiswrapper is also reported to work on the built-in card.

A 3rd option would be to replace the internal mini-pci wireless card with
another one that is well supported on Linux.

Wireless and ACPI support (Power Management) seem to be the most troubling
on Linux.

There is also a Debian bug report logged concerning lock-ups when the
screen goes to sleep (goes black). I have also seen this problem with
Feisty on an older Dell CPx laptop.

My HP Dv6000, basicly the same machine, has a Broadcom wireless card
that I got to work.
