Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Dec 13

There are many simple guides on the net, a quick google with the words
installing software on kubuntu came up with several. Mostly talking about
adept. Personally I prefer synaptic. To install this open a terminal, type
sudo apt-get install synaptic push enter, type tour password in when prompted
and say yes to the bits it wants to install. Once done synaptic package
manager should show up in your menu, usually under system. Fire up synaptic
and then you are able to browse the repositories by section or use the search
tool, whatever your preference. Actually installing software with linux is
way better than windows, because using the tools solves all your dependency
problems 99% of the time.
