Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Jan 10

I just set up a linksys router for a wireless set up at a local real
estate office so I have a little familiarity with this.

I installed XP Pro and then installed the software. To configure the
settings for the router I went to http://192.?.?.? (forgot the rest) and
that is the admin screen for the router.

Now for linux (and remember Im very new to this as well so Im assuming
and guessing a bit) since you wont have any software to install, perhaps
you dont need any. My cable modem just installed and was working right
off. I was totally amazed. What you might try is getting out your paper
work on the router and seeing what the admin url is.

If you send me your model number I can tell you more. (of the router)
