I'd be grateful if you could explain further. The google pages mention
something about being "ported" through wine.

It would seem logical that one could download the windows file
"picasa-current-setup.exe" and run it through wine [as it is installed
on my PC].

The file i downloaded was the linux ver 2.7 .deb - if this is 'ported'
through wine i'd be grateful if you could explain further.
