Just hit ctrl+alt+backspace to kill the X server. Then ctrl+alt+f1 to go to
console 1.

Login with your account.

Make sure the file is executable "chmod a+x
NVIDIA-Linux-x86-100.14.19-pkg1.run"
then run it as root "sudo NVIDIA-Linux-x86-100.14.19-pkg1.run"...
