gparted should do the job. If you boot in the Live CD you will likely
have less trouble. The top right window lists the hard drives on your
system. Make sure the drive is unmounted with any swap partitions turned
off then delete everything. Only thing left will be to format using the
add Icon and selecting the formatting type you desire.
