I found a fix for my problem and thought I'd share it with all of
you.

It's a blog post titled:
How to [mount_point cannot contain the following characters: newline,
G_DIR_SEPARATOR (usually /)]

There is also a gui way to do it. If you have Configuration Editor
Showing in your >Applications>System Tools menu you can just click on
it there.
