IF(ISNUMERIC... (like the worksheet formula)"
Curious, because IsNumeric is the vba  version while ISNUMBER is the
worksheet function.

So

If Selection.Value = "2" Then
might become:
If IsNumeric(Selection.Value) Then
(untested)
