i have downlaod the COMMAPI from java sites but i am little confused while
reading its documentation bcz i have found the following line which is mush
confusing for me.
"The javax.comm.properties file must be installed. If it is not, no ports will
be found by the system. "

i don't know what does it mean or how can i install this file.
and second one is that i am using jdk1.4, i just want to know is these settings
are same for jdk1.6 and jdk1.4.

i am in to much trouble because
I want to read  the com port  of my computer  and i don't have idea to do it! would
you tell me in detail which class  or package  I should use to get it done.
Any quick  help in detail will be highly appricated.
