Sub DoItemUpdate(ByVal objSource As Object, ByVal objARgs As
DataGridCommandEventArgs)

DataGrid1.EditItemIndex = -1

I can't say definately but I wouldn't be resetting the EditItemIndex at the top
here, I'd be doing it at the end of the function.
