Upgraded, But OpenOffice Still Crashes

Date: Dec 14    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 278

My system is completely upgraded, but OpenOffice.org still crashes. I
know one way it happens is if I click on a presentation transition for
the second time (not the first), then it crashes (whenever I open an
existing document created in OO)
Here's the output once the program crashes:
user@host:~$ ooimpress

(process:11866): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library

(soffice:11866): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
Using the fallback 'C' locale.
user@hostt:~$
(soffice:11866): Gtk-WARNING **: GtkSpinButton: setting an adjustment
with non-zero page size is deprecated

Funny thing is, I keep getting that same "Locale not supported..." error
when I run other apps, too. Could that be the root problem?
