Ubuntu on a SUN machine

I have been attempting to install Ubuntu server SPARC7.10 on a sunfire
V120 machine. The problem I am running into occurs with the GUI
interface as I have been unable to allocate memory for the GUI
interface, resulting in the machine being unable to display the GUI.

I would try kubuntu, it take less memory.
