uable to send email+ebay access from ubuntu+

For some reason I can't sign onto ebay from ubuntu! That is I fill in the ebay
user name and pw, but hitting [enter] or clicking on the [sign in] box has no
effect! Normally either works and I can get in without a hitch! Anyone else
having problems?

Also, in a similar fashion, the "SEND" key of hotmail doesn't work!

Lastly the icon in the upper ight hand corner to restart/reboot the system, now
disappears, giving an enlarged desktop! I have the latest (64bit) version
installed!

I use the AMD 64 bit version of Kubuntu, which should be functionally
identical to Ubuntu. Just logged into ebay with no problem.
I use Opera normally but this was using Google Chrome.

Have you tried a different browser?

If that doesn't help have you tried rebooting? Even Linux needs a fresh
start sometimes!

Ubuntu is an OS. You are attempting to login using a browser. Why blame the
OS? Check your settings in the browser.

this sounds like you have noscript installed and have not allowed
needed scripts on these sites

Are you using Firefox?

I log into ebay fine. FF saves the log in details.
