Stretching Root and Home via backup

Date: Jan 21    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 360

If my root partition or home partition is too small for DVD ripping and
copying can I make a backup and restore with different sized partitons without
having to reinstall the Kdenlive software? I can no longer access the Internet
to do that. Got lucky one night and piggybacked in on a neighboring iMac
connection to get this far.

You may be able to boot from a live CD
and then adjust the partition sizes.

Best to make a backup just in case.
